    Disappearing 9p--disappeared veteran's quilt

i saw Eleanor Burns on F&P doing a QOV using the disappearing 9p. I thought that was the neatest thing so decided to do that for a veteran who will be celebrating his 93rd birthday soon. He is so proud of his service and has a wonderful memory to relate incidents. This is a surprise and I hope he likes it. NOTE to self: Use a more contrasting fabric for the center patch. It is almost lost in the whole thing. More hodgepodge than I meant it to be. Third quilt bound in 8 days. Now to start another!!

I don't think the center is lost at all. It is a wonderful quilt, and he will be so touched by it.
