Just the cutest idea, love that you can take it off and wash it. I take the cover off my dog bed and wash it about every two weeks, its white was a cover for something and found it at a thrift shop, soft, cuddly and she loves it.

What a great idea, using a blanket that wasn't of use in any other way and turning it into permanent padding for the dog bed -- and still can be washed, too. Love the pillow case idea -- it looks neat and tidy and easy washed, as well.
I'll have to remember this idea when I need to come up with another dog bed....

Dog Bed for my great dog bed Granddog. I made it like a pillow case but put batting and quilted it. It can be removed and machine washed. Inside is some pilling fleece I bought for a blanket, but it pilled so bad I didn't use it. So I folded it and stitched around the edges so it wouldn't unfold when removed. And a picture of Bailey using his new bed.
