My granddaughter is staying with me for a few weeks and she wanted to make a quilt. She did it all herself with the exception of help with pinning and a few seams that needed ripped out and redone.

She did a terrific job, didn't she? Did she pick out the fabrics, too? Working with my granddaughter, once she gets old enough, is something I'd love to do, too. I bet you had fun. So, did she or you rip stitches out and resew those areas?

Very nice! Congratulations Emily! Did you put a label on it to show for posterity that it was Emily's first quilt and when it was made, where and all that jazz!
Keep up the chain of quilty people!

Oh, I bet you are so proud! Take lots of pictures just in case something happens to the quilt itself.

She did a great job, and I bet this is just the first of many! Think how good she will be in 30 years!!!!!!!

Way to go, Emily! I guess she likes horses and cats! That makes her fit right in here!

She did almost all of the ripping. She soon learned she didn't like it and if she went slow she didn't have to do it nearly as often. She loves animals of any kind and wants to be a vet when she grows up. We spend hours lookng for horse stories at the library so if any one knows of a good horse story, please let us know.
