Default From Don-isewman--Binding done on the GFGarden, I hand quilted

A amish lady(Dorothy) from Kalona, Iowa. Called me this morning. She said, she had the binding on the GFGarden all done, and I can come and pick it up. This lady Dorothy, I know her. She use to own the stitch and sew cottage in Kalona. I'm so glad she did this for me. I hope the pictures will show the binding. If not, I'll post pictures again. I also posted a picture of my hand quilting. A amish lady was in the shop, this morning also. And she couldn't believe that I had quilted it all. TAKE CARE EVERYONE. Don-isewmanThe quilt, I'm hopeing the binding can be seen.A close up view of the binding.A close up picture of my hand quilting. I'm so proud of my self. The hand quilting, and a quilt that was made roughly in the 1930's.The lady that did this quilt, was born in 1924. She started cutting the pieces out when she was 10-11 yrs old. She is now 89 years old.

Very interesting binding method. Thanks for showing that. As always the quilt and your hand quilting are beautiful.

Beautiful! As a fellow hand quilter I appreciate the time that went into this work of art. Your stitches look perfect! Great job on the binding too, that part would have had me stumped.

You certainly honored that vintage top with all of your hand quilting and by completing it!
