This is my first attempt at a Dresdan Plate anything. For the first go around, not bad. I am looking for some constructive critisizm on this though. I would like to make my sisters placemats for Christmas and a table runner. Not necessarily the in Chrismas theme. My middle piece is horrible and I think I need to add binding instead of just straight stitching?

Please help as I want my sisters to really like their placemats and want to use them.

Thanks, feel free to PM me as well.

I think it looks GREAT

I would make the background a bit bigger so the plate is all the way in the middle and not on the edge

I really like this. I am sure your sisters will do too.

If you want hints on the center, check out this tutorial

I agree that it looks great, nice job. Make the background bigger and center it and that it is. Can't wait to see your end results.

I think it looks great, but I do agree that the bg needs to be bigger. I would definitely use those, if they were mine. Keep up the good work.
