this is so amazing! done this way, it looks so different! it hardly looks like a kaleidoscope. all you see is color changing from value to value. the color becomes all-important. what size will this one be?

    can i be your sister?

I trust your design instincts. You are certainly one of the more talented quilters I've seen!

Karla I love it! and the fabrics are making me drool. :-D

Little question, why are you concerned about using the K block if it's to be used?

Weeeellll...I'm not considering any light to dark work, just a blending of seasons, so it won't look like circles...I feel I'm cheating myself out of a fabulous design the way it's meant to be...but I'm willing to step out of the box.

Hey outside the box is a great place to be! Plus, I for one have faith in your ability for design so I'd say go for it. 'The way it's meant to be' is the way you WANT it to be. Just my two euro cents worth. ;-)

yes, it could be done in log cabins. I love the idea of using log cabins:) (couldn't be because they are a favorite block of mine) no not all LOL

Like I told Karla, I love it!! Of course, I love everything she does. But if you stand back from your monitor (and are as near-sighted as I am) it looks like a close up of a pinecone in a fir tree. Really neat.
