Default Facing edge

I have been wanting to try facing instead of binding for a while. I decided my mini would be a good size to give it a go. I stitched the facing edge, used my pinking shears to trim the edge and turned the facing to the back to hand stitch. I stitched about 1/8 in from the edge to finish it. It looked a little plain so I added some circles.

Nice look. I'd like to see the back. When my icons were gone, I hovered over the spaces and saw the text. When I clicked on the empty space where the text says 'insert image', I could add a photo.

LOL! You must have been posting while I was typing. Back looks great too. I may try the facing on one of my smaller projects. Thanks for posting about it.

Thank you for the picture of the back.

So it's handled like a garment facing - but the loose edge is turned in and stitched down?

I like the effect the edge stitching. It Adds a lot of definition to the piece.
