    This project was a JUMBO post card. The theme was anything to do with Australia. I chose the Satin Bowerbird. The male bowerbird builds his nest with found objects to impress a potential mate. There are several types of bowerbirds. If you are interested, go to youtube and just look at bowerbirds...truly amazing...

    Wow you nailed it. To say you created something that captures the essence of this bird is an understatement. I love this little quilt.

    fantastic rendition of the bowerbird - many of them actually collect that color for their nest.
