My very first quilt (not that I have done many) had curves and so I guess by starting right out that way may have been a good thing. Love your block and colors and even tho scraps, those colors would make a beauty of a quilt!

I admire your persistence. I have a NYB on my to do list but the curves turn my off.

Great job. Aren't you glad you gave it a try! Nothing ventured-nothing gained. I wish you the best as you choose fabrics for your new skill set.

I took a pp'ing class as I just wasn't getting the hang of it on my own. It was a NYB quilt! Great fun and I love my quilt...well, it's still a flimsy as I haven't figured out how to hand quilt it! One day.

Sometimes we just have to bite the bullit and try it. I was afraid of "Y" seams and the quilt I'm working on is full of them. Decided to just do it, reading the instructions carefully. Now I'm not afraid of them. It was just all in my head. Curves are next on my "TO DO" list.

    Good job!!!!
