I've had a couple of requests for a larger picture of my avatar. After some urging and encouragement from a fellow member, I'm finally posting pics of some of my quilts.
"Batik Explosion", my avatar, is my design and made using several techniques I combined into one. It was made as a free standing applique, put together on a freezer paper pattern, then moved onto the batting and backing before any sewing was done.
"Garden of Tranquility", a wall quilt I made in memory of my daughter
"Autumn View" is another of my own designs. It's machine applique with 3 dimensional flowers and leaves.
