That is a wonderful quilt, but why would you say this is your first and last? It turned out great.

I've never tried it. I just have too many other peicing designs I want to do before this. However I adore the OBW hollow cubes and do want to try those.
I am still learning, and we did it at a quilt class, it gave me some headaches! Had help, and some points isn't perfectly matched, but I did ok, on sewing the strips after the hexagons were done! I consider myself a Stage 2 beginner! Thanks for the comments!!

The orginal fabric is the border, and I chose the material at Joann's, but had I known--the fabric is called Kalidescope! They tell you to get ugly piece, and has to have a 22-24 inch repeat! That was all I found! I do like bright colors! Thanks!

I would not dismiss that pattern so quickly - your finished top is really striking. I think you have a knack!
