Thanks so much for taking time to share. Since I have many friends who live in Bristol, RI the 4th of July is a huge event. Can you gie me any details for the Flag quilt top. Where did you find the fabric and did you use a pattern or design it yourself? This would make an awesome gift.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words! I'm fairly new to quilting (3 years, with new baby and all) and have become really obsessed in the past year. The encouragement means a lot!
Luckydenny -- I found the pattern for the flag quilt on connecting threads. It's the America the Beautiful block pattern. I think I did 63 blocks and made it 9 blocks by 7 blocks. Then added the border.

I found all the fabrics at Joann's, probably last May or so and didn't get around to doing it until this winter. I know the striped fabric for the border and the flags are in the Stars and Stripes collection and is still for sale. I can look up the others and PM you with the details if you'd like.
