I was in a pincushion swap at another site and received this. It is so cute. A piece of cherry pie.
The other one is what I made.

    A spring hat

That pie cushion is so creative and clever! I'd be tempted to put some pieces of fabric or batting dipped in cherry potpourri to stuff inside too.

Hmmm. I have that same cherry fabric. I wonder where the pattern came from...

Those are both darling! I bet whoever received yours love it! I really need a pincushion, but I haven't gotten around to making one. I refuse to buy one though because I keep saying I'm going to make one. :)

The hat one is very much like one somebody gave my mother when I was growing up...used it when I was learning how to sew...thanks for the memories!

I have a cake slice on my 'to make' list, but I like the slice of pie better. I need some cherry/rhubarb fabric. My husband's favorite!

What a clever idea to use the fruit fabric for! And I love your hat. What did the other pin cushions look like?

So adoreable, both of them. Did you create your own patterns or were the patterns already created? Thanks for sharing! If you know where the patterns came from, could you let us know, these would make great gifts. Sally
