Since I have never posted a picture, I hope this works. Several members of this board were gracious enough to send fabric to help make quilts for people who lost their homes in Amarillo, Texas. We are still making quilts with gracious donations from local Amarillo sewing group people and this board. Since over 50 homes were lost here a few months ago - this is an ongoing project for us, but wanted to give this a try and to thank each and every one who has provided material. It has been a real blessing for these people.

Thank you for helping fellow Americans.

Lovely idea. Lots of people line up to send things to other countries, but forget that we here in America also have lots of folks who are in need of even the basic items for day to day living.

How very thought and such a thoughtful gesture on everyone's part. It can happen to any of us and we thank the good Lord for each day it doesn't.

Thank you to the quilters who are doing such a wonderful thing for all of these people.........

My friend and I try to work on these every weekend. We also have 3-4 other friends/cohearts who help us when they can. My friend has a long-arm that she has graciously allowed me to use for the quilting aspect and I can't even come up with words of thanks to her. I know that making these quilts has been my blessing, the ability to come up with material, thread, batting, etc. has been a true gift from others and with the ability to be able to get what we need. I am sure the quilts will be used and because God has provided everything for us - the glory certainly goes to Him. Thank you so much for all your support and the great people on this board.

I need to find out if anyone is doing this for the fire victims in our area as well. Thanks for the reminder!

The quilts y'all have done are lovely and will be most appreciated I'm sure.
