I was going to try and make a jelly roll blanket, but decided that might be too much to take on for a first time, so I put some blocks together and made a pillow instead. I don't feel my hand stitching is quite right, but not sure you can really see it in the pictures that I have. I would appreciate any help on what you can see I am doing wrong, or just instuction as to how to hand stitch. Thanks in advance.

You are spot on for your first quilt. Search the tutorial section of this board. You will find many references that will help you learn. The Tutorial link is at the bottom of the page.

Nice job for a first project. I like fabrics that contrast (white/navy). BTW (by-the-way), Welcome to the Board from Alabama. I know you will find many friends and information here from all over the world. :)

That's really good, especially for your first time! The stitches are nice and even, and are quite close together. The main thing is to keep them even. Nice work! Welcome!
