I actually threw this out twice this morning (laughter), but fetched it out of the trash bin for another try. The gathering (from the pattern) was just making it so small I could hardly work with it properly and you had to make three rows of stitching and then hand sew (whaaaaaat). SO, I decided I would just make some fun, soft pleats instead and it went together much more easily. Contrary to the angle of the pictures it is straight and the binding is even all around. I used some iron on fleece for the inside and it makes it soft, but stands up nicely. The finished basket is about 4.5 inches in circumference.

What now to put in this basket? I started with an 8 inch (<-+>) circle. I used a bowl I had to make the template (how is that for accuracy - rofl).

Please be on that galloping horse as you go by looking at it! Hope your having a great day.

Beautiful colors! I think it's cute. I have a similar one that lives beside my sewing machine for threads and the other little odd and ends that always end up scattered around.
