    Default First Rag Quilt

Finished my first rag quilt yesterday and it was so much fun to make! I cut my squares at 7 1/2" and used a 1" seam allowance. Next time I'm going to cut the squares just a bit smaller and maybe not use such a large seam allowance but I'm still happy with the way this one turned out. (Can see how these can become quite addictive.) I've ordered some green flannel with cars and trucks on it, along with 3 solid blending colors, to make one for my grandson. By the way...approximately how many washes and dryings does it take before these quit "shedding"? I'm on the 4th wash and dry now.

Rag quilts are sort of like cats, they keep shedding. Cute quilt.

I have one that is a few years old that still sheds a bit... but compared to the dog hair that comes off it in the dryer... piece of cake

LOL!! You have a very good point about the dog hair. I have that problem also. I always tell people that when they come in my house they will leave with hair on them.

Very cute and cuddly quilt, love your color choice. I've got to make myself one of these someday soon.
