Beautiful quilt. I live on a farm and would move that barn to my farm if possible. So few old barns left to treasure.

Default Help or suggestions Toni Whitney wall hanging

I just purchased Toni Whitneys Barn wall hanging, I have done applique's before but this is different, I have the clear plastic as suggested and have drawn the pattern on it, I also bought the Teflon pressing piece. In all the applique's I've done so far, I've had a background piece of fabric to press the individual pieces to. I can't quite figure out what am I pressing the cut out pieces to in this project.
