I had to show the quilt/pillow that I made for DH for Christmas..
The story> He only asked for a camo quilt..No pattern, nothing lol..So I made it reversible..The front is cotton the back is flannel..Since I couldn't make it special with a design of some kind..I know that him and his brother have forever loved and collected snoopy ( his brother passed away this year) So I appliqued snoopy in the label...I also chose a high quality batting (quilters dream puff = 1.5 times warmer than down and super soft- he camps in cool weather alot/playing rambo lol)

Wow, I did not expect his reaction christmas morning...He actually teared up and hugged me off my feet ( did i mention for a biker looking dude, he's extremely sentimental lol)
Every morning since, he carefully folds up that quilt and says.."I looove my quilt..Best present I got baby..And it's big enough to fold up in and so warm its like snapping an airtight coffin closed ha"...If no one ever appreciates a quilt I make from now on, I'll be ok with that (smile)...:: pause ::.... ok, no I won't but, his reaction sure will help lol

RAMBO

I love this quilt and think nearly all males would. You did a great job! Isn't it the best feeling when you know they really do love what you made them? Nothing is better.

Definitely nothing better.... And it's funny, I can get paid pretty good for faux finishing a room, paint a mural or canvas and he's never acted as excited about that as if I whip out a little pillow case lmao

Very cool quilt (love the Snoopy) - I think he's obviously a very tender-hearted fella. Thanks for sharing.

How wonderful to be married to a man that's not afraid to express his feelings. I made a quilt for my husband several years ago and he said, "Thanks, that's nice." When I said, "Don't you like it?" He said, "Yeah, it's all right."
He has, however, slept under every night since so I think he likes it more than he'll admit to.
You make sure you treasure that sentimental honey you have, he sounds like he's worth it.

Great looking quilt! I love the Snoopy label. Sometimes simple is best. You knew him well enough to give him the perfect quilt.

Sometimes we just gotta love our hubbies. I made a quilt for mine in June for his B-day and he uses it everynight while sitting on the couch watching tv. BTW I can see why yours loves it some much, it's a great quilt.
