How are you going to machine quilt it? Do you have a custom design in mind or an all-over?

I usually do an all over design freehand on my Gammill. I will choose a thread that one can hardly see. I want my work to show, so I downplay the quilting.

OMG, I have put the last border on hahahhaha...and have put three of the very narrow green borders strips on. These are just to keep the quilt square as there are many biases. The quilt itself ended up being 103x103, with the binding and narrow border it will probably be 104 1/2. I will probably rack it up on the Gammill tomorrow and start to quilt it, stay tuned......

Just finished the quilting. I had three quilts come in to quilt on the Gammill so the binding will have to wait a few days as I have the machine pulled out.

Very big undertaking!! Please post pics as you progress...I attempted a pineapple quilt pattern years ago and gave up. I love the pattern and also absolutely love your color choices of fabrics. Maybe after I see your finished quilt, I may have to attempt this pattern again.

Oh God, it's good to be back to the land of the living. I have been so sick with the stomach virus. I had just finished the three jobs that came in and was going to wait a couple days before tackling the binding and then I got hit with this virus. I am all better now but still a bit weak but feel real good. I am looking at the fabrics now to choose the binding, so it will be just a little bit before I post the pic of the final quilt, a couple days or so.

Default Quilt finished

Yesterday, I cut off strips of purple, red blues from what was left of this quilt for the binding. I joined all the colors and liked the looked. I figured I might as well use it up. Here is a pic of the binding. I do like a wider binding so I cut my strips at 3.5 and then that is folded in half. I think I ended up with a half inch binding or so.

Then I put the quilt on the bed and took several pics. It turned out to be 103x103 more or less. This is the best I can do for pics right now until later. Hubby said we could spread plastic in the yard and take more pics so you can see the whole quilt.

The best view would actually be one where the quilt is hanging on a wall but my board isn't that big. Maybe I could get a room in my church with a high ceiling later.
