Thanks Ladies. I had a comment from my hubby. He said I should do the border. I am thinking very hard about it. Maybe in a couple days, I will change my mind and do the border.....I don't know....

All the piecing you did on this in so short a period of time! Maybe you want to rest a while and then think about, " Do I or don't I put on those last blocks." If you do include them, would you change the colors so you can see the edges you have now (like in the original picture from the book), or would the colors blend so your square edge disappears?

Either size will look great.

I have decided to do the borders. I like the edges to show, I might have to change values a bit, I don't know yet. I won't change the fabric line I am using now tho. I will post when I get one side done.

I have been working on the border. One side of the border takes 5 half square pineapple blocks and two diamonds. I just need one more diamond to finish one side. I have folded the quilt in half so I can put the border up as I work on it and it's good thing.

I already had to change one point of the diamond as it had to match another area. I noticed that I put two dark strips on the diamond that shouldn't be there. I must have been tired and not paid attention. I will leave it until tomorrow to see if it makes that much of a difference to me.

The extra parts of the side blocks that you see hanging, will be joined to the side border on the diagonal.

I used all the scrap strips I had left to make the border PA, so they will be a little different.

Looking at where the border joins the quilt, you will see where it forms two Pineapple blocks, and there you will notice the different strips in each half. I like it.

Here is one completed border. I now have three more to do like this. I love the little figure that appears in the middle of the border, reminds me of a Maya God.

I have been working on the other three borders. It's going to take a while so hang in there for the finish. Bear in mind that I have to repeat all eight diamonds like the middle of the quilt and all the square blocks too. It's like doing the quilt twice.

The border takes 8 diamonds and I have finished those. Now it's time to start on the half square P A blocks. I will post when I finish the next three borders, so it will be some time. I can't name a time because some days are better that others lol.
