what a great support project; where do you all get the energy? they all must have taken a LOT of time, but well worth the effort for our guys/gals who serve...

Wonderful quilts and wonderful you for thinking of our military. I pray for your son and all our troops that they may all come home soon and safe.

Wonderful quilts. I also want to thank you for doing this. How many quilts do they need? God bless our troops. BrendaK

Those are lovely. Thank you for remembering our service people. My husband did his 20+ years and we were always touched by people who reached out in kindness and generosity. Thank you again!

Thanks for the compliments and prayers. This is my son's second deployment. Knowing what he and his family goes through making some quilts is the least I can do.

Our guild numbers fluctuate from around forty to around 60 at times. We have our own version of quilts for soldiers and give out upwards of 50 to our "heroes" the Saturday before Memorial Day. This year over 50 quilts will go to veterans in a 3 county area of Western NC. The town of Burnsville will host a Hero Day celebration and the quilts will be given away as part of this event.
So wonderful to hear what other quilters are doing for our soldiers!

Thanks to all who support our troops. My husband was a Naval officer for thirty years and my father was a submariner during World War II as well a career officer.
