free motion quilting

Way to go! FMQ takes a lot of practice, so you may as well have fun while you're doing it. Be sure to keep your "practice" pieces. They are great for referencing designs you've come up with and, if you are like me, you'll get a kick out of looking at them later on.

You're doing great! I read that it takes about 40 hrs to get good at FMQ. I've got about 5 hrs so far-all I've tryed is stipple & meandering so far- I need to get brave like you & try something more!

I should be a lot better than I am, now I'm making quilts faster than I use to and my quilting doesn't look as good. Maybe I am trying harder and trying to quilt faster. Oh well, I am trying for a perfect quilt and don't think there is any such thing.
You are doing great.
