After years of having everything stuffed in boxes and living space cluttered and unusable when I quilted I finally have a workable sewing room. And, with a pullout couch it can also serve as an emergency guest room.

The best way to overcome Empty Nest Syndrome is to line the next with your fabric stash. Good job!

When I lived in my other house I finally got the largest room that 2 of my boys had. Then my youngest son moved back in for a few months till he could find another place to live. And I told him he would have to live in the basement, which he did. I didn't want him to get too comfortable. Then he helped me move to this house and lived with me here for 5 years. (Probably because he had his own room).

I'm one of the lucky ones. We have an extra bedroom off of the kitchen. I claimed it for my sewing room rite away. I am so thankful for it. The only problem is, other stuff used to get shoved it there, too. Then I thoroughly cleaned it and dared anyone to put junk it it.

I agree, this is the best way to overcome empty next syndrom..when my daughter moved out, her room became my new sewing room, then she moved back..luckily we had a spare bedroom in the basement..she wasn't too happy with the arrangement..lol didn't want her to get too comfortable LOL
