Default Goodbye, best sewing room ever...

DH has accepted a job in Columbus, Ohio, and we're finally going back home! What will I miss most?? This beautiful sewing room I just hope a great quilter buys this house and enjoys and appreciates this room as much as I have. I'll be SO sad to leave it, but am ecstatic to be back with our families again! I finished quilting my last quilt in Michigan - a memory quilt made of DH's brother's (he passed away last year) golf shirts for his first granddaughter, who is due in July.

It will certainly be sad to leave that lovely creative space. But just think...you can 'new & improve' a space in your new home!

I'll be happy with a space in the basement that will hold both my sewing room AND my longarm frame. I'm thinking I'm going to go with Ikea furnishings so I can take everything with me if we ever have to move again!

Just think how you can make an even better sewing room in your new home. Someone is going to love you old space. Good luck on your move.

First, I LOVE the quilt you are making for your great niece. I'm sure it will be a treasured keepsake.
Second, if Kalamazoo wasn't the other side of the state, I think I'd move just for that room!

I understand your mixed feelings about moving! Now you know what your dream sewing room is and you can work at making it happen. What a nice project! lovely quilt by the way really toughtful.

Thanks, all. It will be sad, but great getting back home. The quilt is a free pattern called "Candy Hearts" that I found on Moda Bakeshop. SO simple but so pretty!
