Shared the photos when the quilt came back to me and now it's completed. Wasn't sure if I should add these to that original file or start a new subject so will start a new one.

For those who don't know, a Round Robin Quilt is one that involves a group of 3 or 5 quilters. Each participant makes a quilt block with in the specified size. An order of exhange is set up and each block is passed to the next person in the exchange so she/he can add a border of their choosing. Each person in the group adds a border and when the last person completes their border, it goes to the person who made the first block. While my quilt is being passed around and worked on, I'm adding borders to their blocks. We had a month to do each border and we could choose our own fabrics and design. The owner however can express color preferences if desired.

I'll include the initial block I made and the quilt as it came back to me and then a photo of the quilt enlarged to a nice sized throw. The quilt is a combination of machine quilting with hand quilted details and there will be one close up of a corner to give you an idea of the detail. The label was made by Dorene who has an embroidery machine and was kind enough to make each of us a label for our quilt.

The top and bottom borders are a disappearing 9 patch using the fabrics used within the quilt. I hand quilted in the ditch to give it the quilting it needed without the visibility of the quilting - nice look of texture.

Polyester low loft batting is used and NO hoop or frame as I prefer my quilts to have a puff or poof look to them.

Wow, that is so incredible. I'd love to do a round robin, but I'm afraid of not meeting the time frame. Seems like something always comes bursting into live to mess up my fun time LOL
