My dad finally sent my son and I's christmas package. Along with our gifts he sent a few pieces my grandmother had hand quilted. They are keeping her stash of fabrics and other pieces she has quilted for me untill I can give them the money to ship them to me. I can wait to lay them on the floor and piece them together there are a total of 14 pieces. They make even make a full size quilt if im lucky.

Too bad you didn't also inherit the shipping costs. How about asking them to stick a block in every time they mail you a letter? It shouldn't add to the postage!

What a lovely thing to have...even better that you will put it together and it will be a proper quilt...Just like your Gran would have planned.

I know you will cherish those done by your Grandmother.
Tell your Dad to consider using UPS to ship you things. I just sent a quilt I did for my brother through the Postal Service, and it was not a large quilt, nor did I even insure it, and postage was outlandish.
