    What a wonderful story and a gorgeous quilt! I really am glad you shared both with us. I just imagined all those devoted friends being together in a quilt group sending off their friend to a new neighborhood in Indiana. Friendship everlasting!

    Perhaps sad that we don't have their first names, but that too is part of the history. Something to share with our granddaughters about how far we have come.

    What a fun thread I've stumbled upon here. I live about 30 miles from Elwood and recognize some of those family names. What a treasure you have!
