I ran across this quilt online quite awhile back and thought it was a FANTASTIC idea!

I saved the photos as an inspiration to make something like it myself......so far, it's still on my bucket list!

Has anyone out there made something similar??

I love the idea! I haven't done anything with handprints, but I have done a couple of quilts with pictures of loved ones, past and present...here's the link to mine...I think...haven't tried this before...http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-58916-1.htm

My mentor, 78 when I met her, made a queen size one with hand prints of all the members of her family which is quite large. I remember her showing it to me after the latest great grandchild was born and the tiny hand print was added.
Sadly she passed away at the age of 86 about 6 years ago. Her one request of her family was to be wrapped up in her quilt so that she could be close to them even at the end.
