Default Husband's jean made a nice handbag :) Yes, he knows :)

I wanted a new handbag and had a pair of my husband's old jeans asking to be recycled into somthing fun. I also had been wanting to try my hand at ribbon embroidery. What better place to embroidery then on a pair of jeans. Made me remember my jeans during my teenage years in the 70s. Okay, the embroidery then was more peace signs and such, but I think my flowers on the handbag turned out nicely and the leather purse handles really adds to the bag. The jeans were Harley Davidson jean hence the HD logo. A cool thing with the HD jean is the watch or coin pocket is, it is complete pocket, so I used it on the front of the bag. Thanks for looking.

Question

How did you make the handles
Or what did you make them from?

Thanks

Great looking purse! Looks more "grown-up" than other patterns for recycled jeans purse. Did you put pockets on the inside? How did you line it?

That is one cute purse, and I agree it is a much nicer pattern than the usual old jean purses. Would be interested to know how you did it.
