I know grey is the newest "hot" color and it's used in every form imaginable from walls to furniture to bedding and everything in between however, I just don't care for it at all. I think it's a very cold color.... like a grey winter sky. That being said, your quilt is really cute.... I love the pink!

I'm making a pink and gray baby quilt. Seemed weird to me when I heard the nursery was done in this. I think it is going to turn out cute.

Very nice. Sometimes when I am not fond of something or some color, I find if I just jump right into it, it turns out much better than I had imagined.

Beautiful quilt. I use a mix of both prints and solids. To me it makes the quilt very pleasing to the eyes.

I kinda got hooked on the tone on tones and recently decided that I want to use up my shelf unit full of plain colors. I think they kind of tame the prints and give you eye a place to rest if it is pretty busy. I've been trying to use some in every quilt.

When I first started quilting, solids was all I dared using. I went to our local Marden's with a quilting friend and she helped me pick out prints and how to pick up colors in them for other blocks.

Thanks Sue if you're still on this Board.

I use some solids, however, I prefer the tone on tone fabrics, as I think they make the quilt a little more interesting. You did a great job with your solids and pinks. Occasionally it's nice to challenge ourselves and work outside the box, plus we are often rewarded with beautiful quilts when we do. Nice job.
