On Saturday I received a quilt top from a friend of a friend, etc.
Too long of a story to get into. The quilt was started by a lady in aprox. 1985, according to a fabric receipt in the bag.
She has passed from cancer 10 years ago.
It is an all white quilt, 12 blocks. Pieced after the blocks were quilted. There is one border she had started quilting, still has the hoop, threaded needle. All that is left is to hand quilt the borders and stitch them to the quilt top. I am so excited to receive such a quilt.
But apprehensive because I am not a hand quilter.
I just hope I can finish this quilt for the original quilter.

You'll be a hand quilter when you complete this. Love the photo of how you received it. I think I would make a large size of this & hang it on the wall of my sewing room. It's just a beautiful sight for any quilter. Maybe a little staging & some creative lighting.
