    Thanks everyone for all your thoughts, it was a super hard choice for me, my gut was really telling me no rock cuz he stood out so nice, however I was going to get everyones thoughts and go with the major votes. Now I have to go to the quilt shop and spend some more money for the border, I was going to use a green but I really like how the cream batting look's sticking out so going to find a color thats close. So here he is, with out the binding. I hard a hard time giving texture to the rock but I think what I did works.

    That looks fantastic! I love what you did with the quilting, you're right, it stops the rock being "flat" and gives it texture.

    I didn't vote because I liked them both. But now that I see it quilted, I think the rock is perfect. Your quilting is great....really makes the rock look real--definitely worth the headache it caused you.
