We are dog-sitting this week and my kids and I thought that Truman needed a quilt. Well, I suggested it and they jumped on the idea. Now they think I need to make each of our 3 cats a quilt... but the cats prefer to sleep in my stash so I really don't think they need any! LOL!

We cut out letters and the boys helped me put them in order, and then I attempted free motion quilting. (That was the real motive behind making the dog a quilt. I didn't want to make a person my guinea pig.) FMQ-ing really made my hands hurt! I went and got the "sticky gloves" today so I will see if that makes a difference on the next one.

The fabric has little scottie dogs on it! So cute.

This is the front. I used heat-n-bond and a satin stitch to attach the letters.

I thought I had one of these on the message but it didn't show up.

The reason we are watching the dog is because his owners are going to see their brand new grandbaby. I couldn't very well make the dog a quilt and not the baby, so here is what I am working on now.

This isn't a very good picture of Truman, but you can kinda see that one of his ears stands up and one flops over. He is adorable! We kinda want to keep him.
