thats really cool! i know its too late but is there a way next time you can do a qayg? maybe if you were only dealing with one block at a time it might not be so hard on the shoulders. i think its going to be great tho when its done!

Think of it as a workout--that way you are quilting and exercising at the same time! Gyms have all kinds of machines for upper body workouts, but I bet they never thought to include sewing machines!
The quilt is beautiful.

Its going to be beautiful! My mom used to have a saying, "Don't eat the cow, then choke on it's tail!" Looks like you've already eaten the cow... so don't stop now! I feel your pain with the tugging and pulling (I have a bad back and neck, too) but take it a little at a time and soon it will be done! You can do it, you will do it! I'll be watching for the finished picture. Keep up the great work.

And everyone who said to do it as a quilt-as-you-go.. I've been kicking myself for not thinking of that earlier!!
