    I agree with Zozee. I think I would use jewell tone batiks to create a stained glass look.

    it was easy to do.....the curves was gentle, but I did mark center of both 9 patch and curve-with a finger press-pinned and worked from center out on each side. I found that easier ( for me) and those ends were so skinny and on the bias, I didn't want to have to wrestle. And used tweezers to hold as I got to end...one stitch at a time. But, by golly they did end up where they were supposed to. The instructions do say scant 1/4" and I did!

    i bought them from bay creek quilting products...many templates reasonable priced..and instructions were excellent. But John Flynn and one other...can't remember name, have these too. If you search on net they will come up. Went onto Pinterest to see different ways to do this design.....still haven't decided on one......

    lovely! and so perfectly pieced! i love making this block & found a site the other day that has used this as a base then extended curves around it. saved the pics ..will, hopefully ), be starting a few test blocks soon!
    have fun with yours!

    whoa!! talk about kismet! there's a post here on the board that uses the block i found on the net the other day ...improved 9-patch on point with extra curved pieces in the melons ..makes a striking quilt

    That's going to be a beautiful quilt. I've seen them demonstrated on You Tube, and they should make cutting so much easier.
