    It's beautiful and I can see why you're happy with it. I think I may just copy you. Is the trick of making it look like a globe having the globe fabric background to be white?

    DebbieB, for me the main thing is some type of Christmas fabric that fits in the space of the circle, and a bit of brown for the "wooden" base. The background in this one is a beige with little scrolls that might make a person think of snow. I've started another block that has a medium blue with snowflakes for the background.
