Jimmy's Ladder finished
#1
We have been working on this off and on since Christmas. It took a while to even collect the fabrics, because we had definite ideas about how we wanted them to look. We started out trying to keep track of the time we spent on it, because it is the most complex quilt we have ever done. Early progress was posted here:

We've been out of town a lot lately, and we're supposed to give the quilt this weekend. Saturday we got the rows put together, borders on, back assembled, quilt stretched and quilted. Sunday we trimmed (rough day) and tonight we bound. We've loved every quilt we've ever made, but I think this is my new favorite. I may "forget" to take this to Jimmy.
Thanks for looking.

Wow...This is a stunner! Love the jewel colours and the backing fabric is brilliant (I was obsessed with Spirograph when I was a kid). The varigated thread really sets the whole thing off beautifully. Love your work. Thanks for sharing with us.
