Anyone ever do a Jimmy Buffett inspired quilt? I'm planning a quillow for my Dad for fathers day and I have some fabric and some on order. Just wondering if anyone else has done one.
:-D

As in Hawaiian shirt type of fabrics? Yep! I make all of William's shirts, he only wears Hawaiians, and sooner or later, he'll get a quilt out of the scraps! :)

Not yet, but thanks for the idea. Now I know what to do with my DH's old shirts!

Yes, I ordered some of those! I even found a fabric with liquor bottles and little salt shakers on it! So, Wasting Away in Margaritaville will be the theme. I've got fabric on order with margarita glasses on it. And I found some with hibiscus in the back round and pin up girls in front.

So I've got the margarita, the lost shaker of salt, and the woman to blame! And of course the parrots, palm trees - and I think I want to get some "water" fabric.

Problem is - I have to tell the "story" on the front of the pillow. And I have no idea what pattern I'm going to use.

Or what I'm going to use for the blanket part. I bought a beautiful batik for 50% off that I was thinking of .......
