Jumping for Joy Quilt
Since I received my new long arm machine, my mom has made it her "mission" to ensure I have enough practice projects. She needed a baby blanket for a coworkers son/daughter-in-law who are recently married and are expecting. They dont know the sex of the child yet. Sadly my FMQ on the long arm are not sufficient to do anything worth giving away. Then the only pantographs I have are flames and flowers, and one called "Drip". So I thought I would get some rubber duckie fabric since it would match up with the drip panto. Do you know that there are not many duckie fabrics out lately? Sigh, so I ended up with frog fabric. It came out absolutely stunning! It is such a happy quilt, I can't help but smile every single time I look at it. I used a striped flannel for the back, a variegated green on top and variegated blue on bottom.
I named the quilt Jumping for Joy, because it makes me happy to look at it and it is a for a new bundle of joy!
