Ok! I couldn't wait and it is still in process but here is my 60's version of Leslee's block.

Sandra, How pretty!! Love the colors and especially that background. And I believe thats the same orange I just purchased for backing on a quilt!! Love it!!

Sandra, Mary Elizabeth would be tickled indeed! Imagine her surprise at seeing an 80 year old faded blue and white pattern transformed into vibrant modern colors! Keep up the good work! Can't wait to see what else you come up with... :D

That is so cool! I love flowers ..yep you are fast...what is that background fabric..preprinted? you didn't applique that did you? I wish you lived close to me..I'ld hang over your shoulder and watch you create,
you do a great job!

Thank you Catherine....Yes the background is preprinted....from the seventies actually. Part of the stash my Granny left me...and I did applique them...I find it relaxing to do. I bet you can do it too....it really isn't that hard. If you like needlework that is all it really is....stitches.
