Hello,

Wow did I have a day yesterday making the star block for just one star. Im posting pictures of the day I had making this block. It was the first time I ever made a block like this. But I was very determined to get it done and get it done right. I worked on this from 10:30 am till 5:30 pm when I finally got it done and got it done right I was very happy. Now Im working on a blue and white one and hopefully I wont have problems like yesterday. Has anyone else had problems like me? lol. I wouldnt let it get me down. I just laught at myself. and said try again, try again. One more thing. I hope this red is ok is it ?

LOL!
I am so laughing WITH you!
I was trying to figure out where those first pieces fit and then I realized ....oops. And oops. ;-) ;-)

I think we've all had days like that. I know I have. Sometimes weeks.

Well, the finished block looks great. I hope the gremlins are gone and it's smooth(er) sailing for you while making the rest of them.

Thanks for documenting and sharing the process (and the chuckle).

The end product looks great. Sorry you had problems with it. I made 4, had never done a star block before. Mine went together in a half-hour each. I may even make some more.

it may have taken you all day to do it but it turned out great. the next one will be a lot quicker as will the next and the next and so on. you will wonder why it took so long soon

Looks great. I think the red works. I've only made two blue ones, then I ran out of cream fabric. :)

I made a dozen but yep; my first star ever and it was ripped out more times than I care to admit! I admit I ripped 2 pieces 3 times. stretched it and had to toss it out and recut. your star looks great and the color choices are really nice.
