I haven't had a lot of time--and the heat makes sewing a sweaty situation, but I've got this much done--in several weeks. :roll: I love the colors and the pattern. It was one I fell in love with at a quilt show--I'll post that first. That one is NOT made by me--but was the inspiration for this quilt.

I wanted to go more scrappy and mix up where the gray is, but don't have big enough pieces in scraps--and I'm using all stash. Nothing else I have matches that gray enough to make me want to use it. So, since I'm not going to buy anything, this gray will do. I do love that fabric and working with gray is fun.

Looks like you're off to a wonderful start. Can't wait to see more. Gray is a wonderful color but a little hard to find.

Your new quilt is going to be spectacular!! :thumbup: Your inspiration photo is awesome, it would make me want to create one too!! Do keep us posted, as your make more progress. I love it & thank you for sharing.

WOW!! I've never worked with gray as a background, but can definitely see why!!! It's as beautiful as black, it'll really make the quilt POP!!
