These are for my daughter. It was a Christmas plan, but I made them this weekend because she had a frustrating week at college and she asked if her dad and I would visit her this coming Saturday. :D I thought they'd cheer her up, although she's fine now. We're going to check out some stores she loves, go out to eat, and go hiking.

Every free evening I sew bindings on stuff I made this summer to get ready for the craft sale. Ugh! So it was refreshing to make something start to finish!

    Those are cute!!
I'm sure they did cheer her up more even with Mom and Dad. Funny how our kids still need us when they aren't home, huh? But glad she's feeling better. :)

I bought some cute kids fabric I'm going to make some pillow cases out of and see if they'll sell at the craft fair. I'm going to get them done, hopefully after I finish this quilt top I'm doing.

Thanks. Rachel has really gotten into camping this year--and she loves stuff that looks outdoorsy and woodsy. I told her I didn't want to scare her, but she's becoming more like her mother on a daily basis. She's asking for Thoreau's Walden for Christmas; we have two copies here because it was one of my favorite reads in college. Next she'll want Leaves of Grass. :D

Nice pillow cases Karla. They are so fun to make. It's a neat pattern. When we were in Yuma at the RV Park the sewing ladies were making them as fast as they could for Cristmas presents for G-kids. I made 28 of them myself. Good job!!

What awesome fabric! I love that pillowcase pattern, too. It's easy, and you always get great results!

And somehow I can't help but believe that if your daughter turns out to be just like you, that's a pretty darned good deal!
