So this is the project that I'm currently working on. This is for my sister and she picked out the colors. This will be a double bed size when it's done, but this is just the first couple blocks laid out on the cutting table. I've also included a picture of the pattern. The gray area is the white and black music note fabric.

I love this project because it's something I'm doing for my sister...

    Anyway, take a look!

That music is pretty cute. I made a tote/duffel bag from music fabric like that for my daughter when she was a teenager for her girl-sleepover nights. She has loved it for 10 years now. The quilt should be stunning!

I got a little more done and wanted to share. It looks even better sewn together than just layed out on the cutting mat!

Whoa! I am making a similar quilt to what you're doing right now! LOL Yours is coming along very nicely!!!

Mine is for my 9 year old son. We spent a WEEK trying to decide what quilt pattern he would get his done in. I wanted something "pretty" done in boy colors. HE wanted a checkerboard. I was insistant... he finally gave in and just went with whatever MOM wanted. I felt bad.... so I drew up what HE wanted in the EQ5 program and he LOVED IT. So I'm making exactly what he wants. :D

I currently have 7 rows of the 4-patches sewn together, but not pressed open... so nothing to take pics of yet. The camo fabric will be the border.

What size squares are your black & reds? Mine are 5 1/2" unfinished.
