Default just wanted to share my two latest projects

I went on a bit of a quilting frenzy last month - wanted to get something accomplished before being laid up from surgery at the end of August.

First, I made a small (about 36" square) quilt using scraps from another (still unfinished) project.

I even used scraps to piece the back:

Then I finished a WIP table runner that had been lurking around my sewing room for a couple of years - all it lacked was for me to finish marking and actually sit down and do the quilting. The backing is the same purple as the squares and binding.

Amazing what the prospects of a surgery can do to propel one into action! Nice projects...and done! YAY!

I know, right?! I even cleaned the house beforehand (well, at least the parts that visitors would see)

Thank you! It went well. Surgery was on 8/25, and I came home six days later. I'm still sore and get tired easily, but each day is a little better. Will probably have another, less intense, surgery in a few months, but I'm finally seeing a faint light at the end of this stupid breast cancer tunnel.
