Told DH I was going to a quilter's estate sale and he said, " I will go with you and hold things so you can look around." It was inside the quilter's small basement for the most part. Within minutes there were so many folks there that you barely had room to turn around to leave . There were few signs giving prices so I selected carefully and this is what I came away with-moda, hoffman, benartex and robert kaufman mostly- some great blenders. When we checked out the estate sale guy said, "Come back at 1 PM 'cause it will all be 1/2 off." After we get in the car, DH turns to me and says, "I think those were good deals - do you want to go back in?" And no, I didn't go back in then or at 1 PM- oh, what did I miss????

It has been washed, measured(51 yds) and ready to go into the stash except the precuts and blocks (haven't decided how to wash them so they are outside in the shade airing out) . There were 5 sets of charms and the 2 in squares- precut. I also got 5 quilting novels and 4 instruction books which included Dear Jane (with 8 finished blocks inside the book) and an Elly Sienkewicz applique- these not shown as they are already in the bookcase or on nightstand.

I did meet another QB member but we didn't trade names. So hi to you.

I've used the "airing out method" and it works (may take a couple of days).
IMHO, Precuts don't usu. was well, unless you was them one by one in the sink,
then scatter them out to air dry - no machines or they will ravel horribly!

BTY - good catch. (I'd have to had gone back.)
