Sunshine666 made this beautiful lattice quilt for her daughters bridal shower which is this weekend. Her daughter's wedding flower is Calla Lilly so she got a gorgeous Calla Lilly fabric to use in the backing from another board member. I used the lillies in the fabric as a template to quilt a field of calla lillies in the borders. I had to improvise a light box out of a clear tote and it worked really well!
Then I quilted calla lilly blooms in the small squares on point and got them to poof by Mctavishing all around them. I designed a feathered wing motif I call Cherub wings for the white cross sections between the lattice work. Then to get the lattice work to pop I SID around all the lattice pieces.
Charismah has converted me to Hobbs Polydown batting, I love it!
I have a lot of pics to load so please be patient. As always I look forward to your comments. :-)
