Default Little Fisher Boy

My DH's 93 year old Aunt sent me this quilt to do for her. She wanted me to quilt it very simply. All she wanted was for me to go around the fishermen and to do something in the sashings. So, that is what I did. During the quilting process, I found several places where she had ripped the fabric. When I asked her if she knew those places were there, she told me how a woman had asked her to make it for her and she only wanted the top with a binding and no quilting. After she had put the binding on it, the woman decided she couldn't afford to get it. So, she canceled her order. Auntie tried to rip the binding off and had ripped a few holes in the process. I asked her if she wanted me to try and fix them or applique something over them. She said, she did, if I could. So, I appliqued a few little stars around on the quilt over the boo boos. I think it turned out pretty good after all was said and done. What do you think?

So someone cheated a 93-year-old woman? I'm so glad you were able to finish the quilt, because it is darling.

What a charming quilt! How sad that she went to all that trouble and then got stiffed. What a shame. I'm sure she will love how you finished it.

This is why I don't sew for others by order. They are always find something wrong and if it is for free they won't complain,
That poor little 93 year old Aunt, that lady should be ashamed of herself. You fixed it real cute and if she wants to she can sell to someone else.
