I cannot wait to be a grandma (but it will be at least a decade and for the sake of my boys hopefully a bit longer than that as Joe is soon to be four and Ethan is six). Joe is actually my son. I seem to be the only one in my family with a love of the handmade, so I fill in with the presents I know the in-laws would love him to have if they were more craftily inclined. I do so love that you called me creative and talented, it will keep a smile on my face all week.

And the Goodwill does seem to have quite a mystical way of "rehoming" items, it has not let me down yet and it feels so good to give new life to unwanted things!

Thank you all for the sweet comments, it is so nice to read them!

Very cute! I love how you did the borders on it! If he doesn't like it, I know my son would ;)
